Breweries We Visited

The Wingman Brewery Company
Wingman Brewery, a brewery situated in downtown Mobile, Alabama, is an experimental endeavor that is a part of Fairhope Brewing Company‘s portfolio. Wingman Brewery is popular for its unique and delicious beers and seltzers. They have a variety of flavors that many people enjoy. The brewery has an open and inviting vibe, perfect for hanging out with friends and enjoying a cold beer or seltzer. They often have live music and events and on the Thursday we visited, there was trivia that we joined half way through.

Make sure to sample their unique and distinctive brews to fully immerse yourself in the vibrant and dynamic craft beer culture that Mobile has to offer. We had a beer tasting that included our choice of 4 beers and seltzers.
- Moscow Mule Seltzer
- Sex on The Beach Fruited Sour
- Wolfman Raspberry Rhubarb Sour
- Blue Steel Blueberry Lemon Sour
- (Separately from flight) Pickleback Pickle Sour
- A strangely satisfying sour for those that like pickle flavor, but only I enjoyed it 😀
Iron Hand Brewing
For a unique brewery experience, head to Iron Hand Brewing in downtown Mobile. Iron Hand is a women-owned brewpub with beer styles that tended toward mild, but nuanced flavors. This brewery is located in a historic fire station and features a spacious taproom with a rustic industrial vibe alongside a small menu that includes decent pizza. Their beers are brewed with locally sourced ingredients, and they offer a rotating selection of seasonal brews.

On our visit we sampled 4 beers before choosing one to accompany our meal.
- Wee Heavy Strong Scotch Ale (Iron Hand)–which I picked as my full glass with dinner
- Key Lime Pie Sour (Guest tap: Chandeleur Island Brewing Company)
- Holy Roller Hazy Juciy IPA (Guest tap: Urban South)
- Dragon’s Milk (just cause we like it 😉) (Guest Tap)
- (Separate from tasting) Gingerbread Imperial Stout (Iron Hand)
